Ben passenger recounts frustrating day

by isleofman.com 14th December 2011

A passenger who has spent around eight hours stuck on this morning's Ben-my-Chree sailing to Heysham says it's been a frustrating experience.

Bad weather meant the vessel had to wait outside Heysham Port for hours, after her departure from Douglas was delayed until 11am because of high winds and seas.

Speaking from the ferry, Gary Griffin told Alex Wotton more (listen to audio file below):

An attempt in being made to dock about now (6pm).

The fast craft Manannan, also with passengers on board, left Douglas for Heysham at 1.40pm, berthing at 4.05pm.
