THE Prince of Wales is scheduled to make a visit to the Isle of Man during 2012, it has been announced by Buckingham Palace.
The Queen has set aside a series of dates for regional visits around the country where members of the Royal family will represent her to mark her Diamond Jubilee.
No specific date has been revealed, but Prince Charles the Prince of Wales has been allocated the Channel Islands and the Isle of Man. It is not thought at this stage that the Duchess of Cornwall will be accompanying him to the Island.
It was speculated this morning that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge - Will and Kate - might be coming to the Island, but their schedule covers Malaysia, Singapore, the Solomon Islands and Tuvalu.
The Queen herself will embark on a series of visits around the country, beginning at the end of March in North London and ending in July in North East England.
A visit to Scotland between July 2nd and 6th rules out the possibility of her taking part in the Tynwald ceremony.
Diamond Jubilee central weekend in June 2nd to 5th with the main events being the Epsom Derby, a Jubilee Lunch, the Thames Diamond Jubilee Pageant, a BBC concert at Buckingham Palace, the lighting of a network of 2012 beacons across the UK, including the Isle of Man, and a service of thanksgiving and carriage procession.
The Diamond Jubilee Pageant will also take place on 10th, 11th and 13th May in Windsor.
