Wi-Manx appoints new operations manager

ALAN Cowin has been appointed as the new operations manager at Wi-Manx.

 

According to the company the position has been created to "provide a link between sales and service delivery".

 

One of Alan's key roles will be overseeing the operation of the Heywood House Datacentre which opened in September.

 

He will also assist with client propositions, developing bid documentation, shaping the early stages of consulting assignments and leading the initial stages of project delivery.

 

Ed Whipp, the managing director of Wi-Manx, said: "Alan brings with him a depth of experience, technical skills and management capabilities to the new post.

 

"He will support both the administration and management operations, in addition to attracting new customers to Heywood House Datacentre which offers the most technologically-advanced hosting services in the Isle of Man."

 

Alan has been working in the computer and telecommunication industry field for more than 26 years and joins Wi-Manx from Domicilium.

 

Speaking about his new role Alan said: "I'm looking forward to what promises to be an exciting and challenging new role. Heywood House Datacentre is a hugely impressive achievement and the services offered are second to none."
