Ben-my-Chree delayed but will sail

by isleofman.com 14th December 2011

THIS morning's 8.45am sailing to Heysham has been delayed to allow weather conditions to improve.

The Steam Packet Company has said the boat will now sail at 10am to allow for a "break in the weather".

The boat should arrive in Heysham at 1.30pm.

Passengers have been requested to check in as normal.

Yesterday all sailings were cancelled due to gale force nine and storm force 10 winds in the Irish Sea.

The fast craft Manannan has also been brought into service today (Wednesday) and will sail to Heysham at 12.45pm before returning at 3.45pm.

Passengers who would like to discuss their travel plans should contact the reservations department on 01624 661661.

Update: The Ben-my-Chree's 2.15pm sailing from Heysham to Douglas has been put back to 3.30pm. It is expected to arrive in Douglas at 7pm.
