Health service review is overdue, says MHK

It's time for an independent review of the Isle of Man's health system.

That's the strongly held belief of South Douglas MHK Kate Beecroft, who says such an audit is not only lacking but would be of great benefit.

In the House of Keys last week, Mrs Beecroft asked if the Island could become part of England's Care Quality Commission's system of monitoring care.

While the CQC feels it’s not mandated to work beyond its jurisdiction, she says a similar body could be approached, possibly on a reciprocal basis:
