The newly elected member of the Legislative Council says he is undaunted by the idea of serving a 14-month term of office.
Tony Wild topped the poll in the election in the House of Keys today (Monday), beating Arbory commissioner and former meteorological officer Brian Rae.
Mr Wild, a senior manager at Standard Bank, will sit on the council until February 2013, and says the short term didn't deter him from standing (listen to audio file below):
Tony Wild polled 16 votes in today's election, with Mr Rae attracting the support of five MHKs.
There was one spoilt paper.
