THE Steam Packet Company has brought forward today's sailings in a bid to avoid bad weather conditions in the Irish Sea.

The 8.45am sailing to Heysham left at 7am and the 2.15pm return sailing will now leave at 12pm.

Any passengers due to travel to Douglas this afternoon are asked to check in at Heysham no later than 11.15am.

The Steam Packet Company has also warned that this evening's 7.45pm service and the 2.15am service tomorrow morning may be subject to disruption or cancellation due to the weather.
