Best dressed boat to be judged!

by isleofman.com 10th December 2011

A Christmas competition with a difference will be judged in the inner harbour at Douglas this evening (Saturday).

RNLI National Council member Robin Middleton is offering a cash donation to the charity as part of a 'festive flotilla' competition, with prizes for the owners of the best decorated boats.

The competition is being staged by the Douglas Development Partnership, which is welcoming the additional festive cheer being brought to the refurbished harbour and quayside area.

The partnership is hoping businesses on North Quay, as well as the boat owners, will do their bit to create a Christmas atmosphere.

The best dressed boat competition will be judged by members of the North Quay Community Association and presided over by the Mayor of Douglas, Councillor Ritchie McNicholl.

It's scheduled for 7pm.
