Better deal for local instructors

by isleofman.com 8th December 2011

Isle of Man driving instructors who move to the UK could soon have the same rights as UK instructors who move here.

The position has been confirmed by the Infrastructure Minister David Cretney after the issue was raised by Michael MHK Alf Cannan.

As it stands, instructors who move across from the UK can start work straight away but it’s tougher for locals to transfer their licence when the roles are reversed.

Mr Cretney hopes to change that.
