Manx historian and broadcaster Terry Cringle is drawing parallels between this month's disruption on our main sea route to the UK and the Seamens' strike nearly half a century ago.
The National Union of Seamen called a nationwide strike in the spring of 1966 and union members here joined the action - bringing Irish Sea services to a standstill.
