Roads closed due to high winds

by isleofman.com 8th December 2011

A NUMBER of roads around the Island have been closed due to high winds.

The Mountain Road has been closed between the Creg Na Baa and the Ramsey Hairpin.

Police say wind speeds in the area are reaching up to 80 miles per hour.

The road will be shut until 6pm.

High winds coupled with a high tide has also led to the closure of the Promenade between the bottom of Summerhill and Port Jack.

This is likely to be closed until 12.15pm.
