TODAY'S sailings to and from Heysham have been cancelled due to severe gale force winds in the Irish Sea.
The Steam Packet Company has announced that the 8.45am sailing to Heysham and return sailing at 2.15pm will not go ahead.
It says the cancellation is due to gale force eight and severe gale force nine winds and says there is the possibility of winds reaching storm force 10.
A decision on whether the 7.45pm and 2.15am sailings will go ahead will be taken at around 5pm.
