Sarah's Law report due before Christmas

by isleofman.com 6th December 2011

THE Minister for Home Affairs has said he will receive a report which looks into the possible introduction of Sarah's Law in the Isle of Man by Christmas.

North Douglas MHK Bill Henderson asked Juan Watterson MHK about the report in the House of Keys this morning (Tuesday).

Mr Henderson wanted to know if the joint working party looking at the possible introduction of the law would report before Christmas and whether the group had received all relevant information.

Mr Watterson confirmed that the answer was "yes" to both questions leading Mr Henderson to ask him to be "a little more specific and more professional in his answer".

The Home Affairs Minister responded: "I've given straight answers to straight questions. The report will be considered in the New Year."
