A special celebration has taken place at the Chester Street offices of CIRCA Volunteer Services to mark the recruitment of the charity's 501st volunteer.
Lieutenant Governor Adam Wood made presentations of champagne and flowers to volunteer number one and volunteer 501, Norma Owen from Onchan and Mark Bradshaw from Douglas respectively.
Norma joined in May 2007 and Mark about eight weeks ago.
There were also gifts for CIRCA Centre co-ordinator Kerry Bell and her assistant Maureen Crawford to mark their dedication to the charity, including the recruitment of so many people.
CIRCA recruits volunteers and places them with different societies and voluntary groups on the Island, depending on the requirements of individual organisations.
CIRCA stands for Centre for Information, Resource, Care and Assistance.
