Birkenhead passengers to be re-routed to Heysham

PASSENGERS planning to travel to Birkenhead this weekend will find themselves in Heysham instead.

 

The Steam Packet Company has announced that due to the forecasted weather conditions its weekend sailings have been re-routed.


The 8am sailing from Douglas to Birkenhead will sail to Heysham instead and coach transfers will be provided back to Liverpool for foot passengers.


The 2pm sailing from Birkenhead to Douglas will leave from Heysham instead. Coach transfers for foot passengers will be provided to Heysham from Liverpool Pier Head at 11.30am.


The same arrangements will apply for the Sunday sailings.


The Steam Packet has said it is trying to maintain a service to and from the Isle of Man despite the weather.


Any passengers who are due to travel can contact the reservations team at the Steam Packet Company on 01624 661661.
