A verdict of misadventure was recorded at the resumed inquest on a 71-year-old Manx Grand Prix competitor from Scotland.
Adam Easton from Musselburgh came off his machine at Lambfell, near Cronk-y-voddy, during the 500cc Classic race in August.
Coroner Jane Hughes heard three marshals made efforts to revive him before he was airlifted to Noble's Hospital, where he was pronounced dead half an hour later.
The cause of death was given as multiple injuries.
The inquest heard there was a fuel leak on Mr Easton's Norton machine, which could have distracted him and caused the accident.
Recording the misadventure verdict, Ms Hughes offered her sympathies to Mr Easton's family and friends.
