LIFE assurance company Canada Life is giving professional advisers easier access to technical support services through a new online facility.
The company has successfully launch “ican” and unveiled a microsite which acts as a hub for the support services.
“Canada Life has listened to what advisers want from providers, and ican will ensure technical information can be delivered to advisers in the right way and at the right time for both onshore and offshore investment business,” said John Occleshaw, managing director of Individual Business.
“By using ican financial advisers can receive personal support on specific cases or general principles surrounding tax and estate planning for both onshore and offshore products, including trusts.”
He said that at a time when others are cutting back, Canada Life is increasing its focus on technical support. “We have developed unique solutions that have stood the test of time, and with the RDR on the horizon advisers are going to need greater support from providers going forward, not less. As such we are providing advisers with bespoke help for their clients through the ican initiative.”
