Ramsey Christmas trees to light up town

by isleofman.com 30th November 2011

RAMSEY'S two main Christmas trees will be lit up on Friday.

The lights on the tree in Parliament Square, which is sponsored by Britannia International, will be switched on at 4.30pm.

The Royal British Legion poppy princess will then turn on the lights on the Christmas tree outside the courthouse, which is sponsored by Ramsey Rotary Club, at 4.45pm.

Captain Nigel Malpass, the chairman of Ramsey Town Commissioners, said: "These are testing times for traders and we are therefore delighted that Britannia International and the Rotary Club of Ramsey are demonstrating their support by creating a festive atmosphere that I am confident will encourage people to shop local this Christmas."
