Census results due in the next month

by isleofman.com 29th November 2011

FIGURES from the Isle of Man census are on schedule to be released shortly, but there has been no delay, the House of Keys was told this morning.

North Douglas MHK John Houghton claimed there had been a problem with releasing the results, but Chief Minister Allan Bell’s reply to a question ended the speculation.

Mr Bell said that the ‘headline’ statistics from the census will be released before the end of the year, but the detailed breakdown of the figures would not be available until the first quarter of 2012.

“There has been no delay,” he said. “As far as I’m aware this is all running on schedule and as planned.”
