MHK withdraws question

by isleofman.com 26th November 2011

South Douglas MHK Kate Beecroft has withdrawn a question from next week’s House of Keys order paper.

The Liberal Vannin member wanted to ask Economic Development Minister John Shimmin the cost of off-Island consultants to consider the viability of a TT World Series.

The department hired the London-based firm The Sports Consultancy to carry out a feasibility study.

But after departmental member Geoff Corkish told Manx Radio he didn’t know how much that had cost, the department issued a statement explaining the total price had been ?57,000.

Mrs Beecroft has now withdrawn her question.
