Brunswick Road fatal: witness appeal

Police are investigating after a man died in a collision at the Woodbourne Hotel in Douglas yesterday (Friday) afternoon.

A blue Rover struck a wall of the building in Brunswick Road at about 1pm.

The driver and passenger were taken to Noble's Hospital where the man was pronounced dead.

The victim of the accident hasn't yet been named.

Officers are appealing for information from anybody who was in the area at the time, particularly witnesses to the accident.

A section of road was closed for more than two hours while police conducted enquiries at the scene.
