THE Ben-my-Chree, the number of work permits issued to driving instructors and activity halls for young people will come under discussion on Tuesday.
There are 10 questions tabled for oral answer in the House of Keys sitting.
Michael MHK Alf Cannan will ask the Minister for Economic Development, John Shimmin MHK, how many work permits (self employed or employed) were issued to driving instructors in the last 10 years.
He will then ask the Infrastructure Minister David Cretney MHK about whether UK qualified driving instructors can transfer their licences to the Isle of Man and why an Isle of Man qualified driving instructor cannot transfer their licence to the UK.
David Cretney will also be asked about the Steam Packet Company by fellow South Douglas MHK Kate Beecroft.
She wants to know if it is only bad weather that has forced cancellations recently or if there are problems with the ship's bow thruster. Mrs Beecroft will also ask the minister what plans he has to minimise cancellations in the future.
Middle MHK Howard Quayle will ask Tim Crookall MHK, the Minister for Community, Culture and Leisure, about whether plans for low cost activity halls in Marown and Rushen have been removed from his department's five year capital programme proposals.
The Chief Minister will also be asked about when the census report will be published and when the Council of Ministers will re-examine the scope and structure of government.
There are four questions for written answer – three of which have been submitted by Onchan MHK Zac Hall.
Mr Hall will ask the Health Minister David Anderson MHK about the number of complaints made against doctors and nurses in the Isle of Man and about how much money has been spent on healthcare for prisoners since 2003.
In particular Mr Hall wants to know how much money has been spent on prescribing methadone and the treatment of addiction of banned substances.
North Douglas MHK John Houghton will ask Phil Gawne MHK, the Minister for Environment, Food and Agriculture, about the number of food establishments that have been inspected – particularly in TT week – in the last five years.
The House of Keys sitting will take place on Tuesday, November 29, at 10am.
