The South African Sunday Times claims to have uncovered evidence the Isle of Man was used to transfer bribe money from a French weapons manufacturer.
The newspaper claims the wife of an adviser to President Jacob Zuma received $96,000 via a British Virgin Islands company called Minderley Investments in 1996.
And it claims Zarina Maharaj was paid through her Isle of Man bank account just two months before her husband's department awarded the French company a valuable contract.
Mac Maharaj says the payments had already been probed by police but no charges were brought by anti-corruption investigators.
