Two million pounds has been lost on the Manx Treasury's investment in Eurozone government, or sovereign, bonds.
Minister Eddie Teare revealed the figure during question time in the House of Keys today (Tuesday).
He said ?4.9 million-worth of bonds from European governments had been bought, but by last week their value had fallen to ?2.9 million.
