THE Island's Infrastructure Minister has said he would be happy to meet with representatives from Flybe to discuss the public's concerns about the airline.
In the House of Keys this morning David Cretney MHK was asked by Douglas North MHK John Houghton if he could arrange a meeting with Flybe's chief operating officer.
Mr Houghton said MHKs and members of the public would have a "long list of complaints to put to that man".
He also asked the Minister is he was aware of the "numerous complaints" that members of the public had made about what he called Flybe's "unprofessional business".
Responding Mr Cretney said: "I'm certainly aware of a great deal of concern in relation to purchasing tickets for airline journeys by card. I hope sooner rather than later something is done about that. I am also aware of limitations on baggage.
"I am clearly aware of those matters- I was elected to serve the public - but since taking this position (as Infrastructure Minister) I have not had any complaints directly made to me."
He added that since becoming Infrastructure Minister he had already met with representatives from the Steam Packet Company, is due to meet with Aer Arran this week and that he was "sure" he would be meeting with Flybe in the near future.
He said if any meeting took place he would be "happy to relate concerns" to Flybe.
