The leader of a teaching union says it's important to oppose cuts in education funding, even at a time when government finances are tight.
National president of the Association of Teachers and Lecturers Alice Robinson visited the Island yesterday (Monday) to meet members and education bosses.
She discussed the ATL's concerns with Education Minister Peter Karran and the union's local branch secretary Andrew Shipley.
