BEE Gee star Robin Gibb is reportedly battling liver cancer.

According to reports in the UK's national media, including The Telegraph, The Sun and the Daily Mail, the singer has recently been diagnosed with the illness.

Reports suggest the Manx born singer was taken to hospital last week following a 999 call from his home.  

Fans of the singer have left messages of support on his Facebook page and according to reports his older brother Barry has flown in to be by Robin's side.

Last month 61 year old Robin was admitted to hospital in Oxford to undergo tests for abdominal pain and was treated for inflammation of the colon.
