Ramsey retailers urge people to shop local with Christmas voucher offer

by isleofman.com 21st November 2011

RETAILERS in Ramsey are urging people to do their Christmas shopping locally this year.

The Ramsey Chamber of Commerce has commissioned a four page A4 booklet of special offer vouchers to be spent in the town in the run up to Christmas.

Chris Blatcher, the chairman of the chamber, said: "A major global trend in the last year or so has been the use of vouchers or coupons - driving customers in store through special offers.

"The chamber has made the decision to focus its annual Christmas advertising campaign around this concept - hence the production of the booklet."

The booklet also contains information about Christmas events in the town including the Ramsey Santa Trail which has a prize fund of £1,200.

15,000 copies of the voucher booklet will be distributed Island wide in the Examiner newspaper from Monday. Copies can also be picked up from participating stores in the town.
