by isleofman.com 18th November 2011

THE Claremont Hotel has been shortlisted in a design competition run by the Caterer and Hotelkeeper magazine.

The magazine is running the Best Design Award 2011 competition and has selected 10 of the most "innovative and beautiful interior designs" that the UK hospitality industry has to offer.

All of the shortlisted properties have been featured in a supplement called Hotspots – 10 of the Best Designs which is distributed with the magazine.

The Claremont Hotel has been chosen after it invested one million pounds in a refurbishment programme.

It is up against competition including The Varsity Hotel, The Barbican Foodhall, The White Oak, Vista Bar and Giraffe.

The overall winner of the Hotspots: Best Design Award 2011 competition will be announced on January 6 next year.

Members of the public are being encouraged to vote for their favourite design by visiting www.caterersearch.com/hotspots.
