CASTLE Rushen High School started their Children in Need fund raising campaign a day early when the entire school turned up for the day in casual clothes, including teachers.
With the school’s prize giving scheduled for tomorrow (Friday), teachers and students decided it would make most sense to hold their main fund raising events today.
Cup cakes made by students were in big demand at the 11am morning break and sold out inside a few minutes. Hand made chocolates also sold well and the money boxes rattled by teachers filled up fast.
A number of 6th form students also turned up for the day in their pyjamas and collected more money around the school corridors in what proved to be a very successful day.
By the end of the school day the total raised stood at more than £1,000, with more money expected to come in from the various events in which students have taken part.
