POLICE have told members of the public to secure their oil tanks after an oil theft in Douglas.
Between Friday, November 11 and Tuesday, November 15, heating oil was stolen from a property on Hawarden Avenue.
Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area.
A police spokesperson said: "Police would like to remind residents, particularly as winter draws nearer, that opportunistic thieves will target properties with insecure oil tanks. Please take steps to lock your oil tanks at all times."
