A former chairman of the Isle of Man Water and Sewerage Authority says Tynwald members had plenty of time to find out more before voting to spend ?500,000 on pumping stations.
In Tynwald this week, Tim Crookall faced criticism from Onchan MHK and member of the Liberal Vannin Party Zac Hall, who claimed he hadn’t been given enough information to decide whether to spend the cash.
Mr Crookall says the authority sent out as much detail as it could without breaching commercial confidentiality, and Mr Hall could have found out more by contacting the authority sooner.
Mr Hall's attempt to put off the vote until next month was defeated during the sitting.
