Island has big plans for cyber-security

Businessmen in the Isle of Man have been learning more about the threat posed by online criminals – and the opportunities presented to tackle the problem.

Yesterday (Wednesday), a seminar hosted by the Manx Educational Foundation heard from three speakers about e-crime.

The MEF hopes to establish an International Centre for Technology on the Island, which could become a world leader in cyber-security.

Deputy Chief Constable of Cumbria Stuart Hyde, who is also president of the Society for the Policing of Cyber-crime, told delegates there were some easy ways to tackle online problems:
