A WOMAN from the Isle of Man has been named Young Business Woman of the Year at the Women in Business Awards.
Victoria (Torie) Kissack who runs Imagination Station picked up the award at the event organised by the business networking organisation Forward Ladies.
Within two days of starting her children's entertainment business Torie secured a corporate contract with an Island based radio station and has since worked with the Isle of Man Government, schools, charities and corporate clients.
Sharing the news that she had won on the Imagination Station Facebook page Torie wrote: "I would like to share with you some amazing news! I have just won my category for Young Business Woman of the Year. Thank you so much for all your support I really couldn't have done it without you all."
Sheila Dean, the managing director of Equiom in the Isle of Man, also picked up an accolade at the awards ceremony. She was named International Business Woman of the Year.
The Women in Business Awards, which are in their first year, recognise the achievements of professional business women in the North West of England and the Isle of Man.
The awards were held at the Midland Hotel in Manchester on Thursday, November 10.
