THE president of the Prospect union will visit the Isle of Man tomorrow (Thursday) to listen to concerns over pay, pensions and redundancies.
Nigel Titchen and Mike Clancy, the deputy general secretary of Prospect, will attend the annual general meeting of the Government Officers Association (GOA) branch of the union.
The meeting is expected to attract around 100 Prospect members from across the Isle of Man and will take place at the Empress Hotel at 5.30pm.
Mr Clancy said: "It is important that the needs of our members on the Island are not forgotten or marginalised at this time.
"The issues members are facing here, irrespective of whether they are employed in the public or private sector, are very close to those members in the UK are dealing with.
"The Isle of Man is different though and we are conscious in the UK that we need to work hard to deliver to the same standard within the specific context of the Island.
"I see this as another opportunity to speak to our members directly, ensure we have a good understanding of the issues which are important to them and that we deliver on that."
