THE urgent need for more foster carers in the Isle of Man is to be promoted on the Island’s milk cartons.
Isle of Man Creamery has produced 190,000 milk cartons with promotional advertisements to encourage would-be foster carers to volunteer.
Cartons will go on sale from November 15 and give details about the qualities required to be a foster carer, the charity’s contact details and a code which can be scanned on a smartphone to gain instant access to the Fostering First web page.
Fiona Lassen, Head of Fostering Services at Fostering First, said thanks were due to Isle of Man Creamery for its support, adding that it was part of an ongoing campaign to recruit more foster carers.
Earlier this year Isle of Man Creamery produced milk cartons promoting the Love Outdoor Play campaign, a UK initiative supported in the Isle of Man by The Children’s Centre.
