New community fundraiser at Children's Centre

by isleofman.com 13th November 2011

THE Children's Centre has appointed Susie Cox as community fundraiser.

Prior to joining the charity she worked for an e-gaming firm in the Island and was involved in liaising with Premier League football teams sponsored by the company.

Susie also works part-time as a youth worker and organises youth clubs and other events for children and teenagers.

She said: "I've always loved working with children so my new job is perfect for me and I'm looking forward to organising fundraising events which are enjoyable for the whole community to take part in.

"The Children's Centre is a great place to work and everyone is really friendly and supportive."

One of the things which attracted Susie to apply to work at the charity was because it has twice been featured as one of the best charities/small companies to work for in the The Sunday Times 100 Best Companies lists.

Chief executive of the Children's Centre John Knight said: "As community fundraiser, Susie is playing a key role in the development of The Children's Centre and all of the services we provide.

"Fundraising is becoming more and more of a challenge for us and all other charities, but I'm confident that Susie has the qualities and skills to make her successful in her new role."
