TT star suffers injury

by isleofman.com 9th November 2011

MOTORCYCLE racer Cameron Donald will not ride for the TT Legends team this weekend after suffering a wrist injury.

The Australian fell down a flight of stairs and is unable to compete.

The two-times TT winner had been due to race in the final round of the Endurance World Championship in Qatar alongside teammates John McGuinness - who has won 17 TTs - and TT podium man Keith Amor.

Cameron will be replaced by fellow Australian Glen Richards.

Team Manager Neil Tuxworth said: "We are obviously very disappointed that Cameron will not be racing in Qatar this weekend.

"The good news is that Glen has been able to step in at short notice and is on his way from Australia now.

"Looking on the positive side, Glen has ridden at the Losail Circuit before, finishing second here in an endurance race, and he has good experience on the Honda Fireblade having won the 2011 BSB Evo Championship on the bike, so he should be a strong addition to the rider line-up."
