THE organisers of the Ballakermeen High School Christmas Fair have said it will be "very different" this year.
Instead of relying on parents to sell bric-a-brac and books the school has taken the decision to allow local companies to trade at the event.
Stalls have been snapped up by more than 20 local companies and visitors will find cakes, puddings, craft items, soaps, candles, cupcakes, jewellery and decorations for sale.
There will also be face-painting, hot Indian food for sale, a Santa's grotto and clothing, cultural gifts and baby items for sale.
Each tutor group in the school will also be selling a Christmas hamper which "offer the chance of a real bargain" according to the school.
Paul Crilly, who is organising the event, said: "There's so much on offer this year – I hope people realise before they come just what a huge variety there is to choose from and make sure they bring enough cash!"
Ballakermeen High School's Christmas Fair will take place on December 2, from 6pm, and is open to all.
