JCC to hold 'outlook for global markets' event

by isleofman.com 8th November 2011

THE Junior Chamber of Commerce (JCC) will host a presentation by Ramsey Crookall later this month.

The talk is about the outlook for global markets in 2012 and will take place at the Cushag Suite in the Palace Hotel, Douglas, on Tuesday, November 22.

JCC chairman Cameron Halsall said: "Following on from last year's 'Illusion of Recovery' presentation to the JCC, Stuart Cowan and Peter Robertson from Ramsey Crookall's investment team will offer a view on the global economy for 2012.

"The main assets that will be covered are bonds, equities, gold and other commodities, their prospects for next year and in the context of the greatest 'unknown' - will central banks succeed in their efforts to stimulate recovery and engineer a return to stable economic growth, or will the deflationary forces stalking the western world lead to a 1930s style depression?

"Stuart Cowan FCSI is a director of Ramsey Crookall who has spent his career working in stock broking and investment management. Peter Robertson FCSI is a senior investment manager at Ramsey Crookall with 20 years industry experience."

The event starts at 6.30pm with a buffet from 6pm onwards.

It is £12 for JCC members and £16 for non-members and for full details and to book email events@jcc.im
