by isleofman.com 8th November 2011

Work on the latest potential blockbuster movie to be made in the Isle of Man begins today (Tuesday).

The star of the contemporary thriller 'Honour' will be Paddy Considine, who was recently on the other side of the camera, making an award winning directorial debut for the film Tyrannosaur.

His acting credits include acclaimed performances in Submarine, My Summer of Love, In America, The Last Resort, and A Room for Romeo Brass.

There will be three weeks of filming on the Island, which is expected to benefit the Manx economy to the tune of ?500,000. Bed-nights will total 1,200 and there will be a dozen local crew positions.

Minister for Economic Development John Shimmin is confident 'Honour' will repeat the success of recent CinemaNX and Isle of Man Film releases, and strengthen the Island's reputation for making top quality, independent, commercial films.
