Minister welcomes torch visit

by isleofman.com 7th November 2011

The Island’s Community Minister hopes people of all ages from all walks of life will celebrate the Isle of Man’s involvement in the build-up to next year’s Olympics.

The Olympic torch will be carried around in a TT sidecar and an electric tram at the TT next June after the Olympic torch relay route was announced.

However, Tim Crookall says the names of the local torchbearers, chosen following nominations of worthy individuals by the Manx public, are yet not known.
