Death of well-known western man

'A real Manx character' is one of many tributes being paid to Kirk Michael resident Norman Barron, who has died at the age of 102.

Mr Barron, a former postman, was a resident at the Corrin Home in Peel.

Six weeks ago he was a guest at the official opening of the new Peel Medical Centre where, not surprisingly, he was the oldest patient:
