by isleofman.com 6th November 2011

A political member of the Department of Economic Development has warned of 'casualties' in the Isle of Man's retail sector after Christmas.

Rushen MHK Laurence Skelly said preventing businesses from folding and helping the beleaguered construction industry were two of the key challenges the department faced.

He was speaking on Manx Radio's Sunday Opinion, along with two other new members of the House of Keys, Kate Beecroft (South Douglas) and Richard Ronan (Castletown).
