Geordies aim for the top

Defending champions St George's have the chance to leapfrog Laxey at the top as the Canada Life Premier League enters the second half of the season this afternoon (Saturday).

In their way stand Peel, who will be be out to avenge the 2-1 defeat Geordies inflicted on them on the opening day of the current campaign.

Old Boys can also overhaul the Miners, albeit on goal difference, if they beat second from bottom Ramsey Youth Centre.

In today's other matches basement club Ayre host St Mary's, Corinthians face St John's, Ramsey play Castletown and Rushen take on Gymns.

As the clocks went back last weekend, kick-offs are now 2pm.
