PETS at Home has confirmed it will be "100 per cent" opening its store in the Isle of Man on December 9.
A spokesperson for the pet superstore said they could "definitely confirm" that the store would be opening on the Spring Valley Industrial Estate next month.
isleofman.com contacted the company after a Facebook page – Pets at Home Douglas IOM – was set up revealing the opening date.
Almost 400 people "like" the page which has been set up by a company representative and members of the public have been asking questions about what products will be for sale.
Pets at Home originally revealed plans to open a store in the Isle of Man in March last year. Since then it has advertised for staff through the Island's Job Centre.
The store will be located on the site of the old Polar Car Wash near to B&Q.
