Decrease in inflation as measured by RPI

THE annual rate of inflation as measured by the Retail Prices Index (RPI) decreased from 5.9 per cent in September to 5.2 per cent in October.

 

The annual rate of inflation excluding housing costs shown by the RPI also showed a decrease from 6.6 per cent in September to 5.9 per cent in October.

 

The annual rate of inflation shown by the Consumer Prices Index (CPI) is 5.7 per cent for October compared to 5.9 per cent in September.
