by isleofman.com 2nd November 2011

FANS of the computer game Call of Duty will be able to take part in a midnight operation to get their hands on a copy of the latest game.

HMV will be holding a launch party on Monday, November 7, to celebrate the launch of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.

The shop in the Strand Centre in Douglas will open its doors at 11.30pm for diehard fans who want to buy the game when it officially launches at 12am on Tuesday, November 8.

A spokesperson said the store said: "HMV will be offering exclusive goodies to those who have pre-ordered in store, while supplying copious amounts of cofee (to keep you soldiers sharp) and cake (it's a party). We even have an in store DJ for your listening pleasure."

Entry to HMV will be through the shopping centre via the main Strand Street stores only.

HMV will also be opening early on Tuesday morning at 8am for those who can’t make the launch party.
