Manx Gas issue motorist plea

by isleofman.com 1st November 2011

MANX Gas has asked for the co-operation of motorists during the ongoing mains replacement work at Victoria Road in Douglas.

Work on the road is "unlikely" to be completed before next Monday and motorists have been asked to find an alternative route.

Robert Gardner, engineering director at Manx Gas, said: "There will be traffic lights in operation in this area until the works are completed which is unlikely to be before next Monday.

"This may cause traffic delays so motorists are advised to use an alternative route if possible. We apologise for the inconvenience caused."
