UK's OFT considers Total deal

by isleofman.com 31st October 2011

The United Kingdom's Office of Fair Trading says it's considering aspects of a deal which would see the Isle of Man's Total fuel network sold to Rontec Investments.

Rontec has offered undertakings to the OFT over sites in Pembrokeshire, after the office said it had competition concerns in that one local area.

But before the OFT can give the go-ahead to the deal, it has to hold public consultation on any draft provisional undertakings.

Rontec will initially buy the whole Total retail fuel network in the UK, the Isle of Man and the Channel Islands, but plans to sell much of it on afterwards.
